What is Capturing Everyday Magic all about?
We've created this course with parents in mind, to arm you with everything you could need to know to take beautiful pictures of your children's lives without having to fight tooth and nail to get a real smile every time.
Here are just some of the things you'll learn:
Photography Basics
From your DSLR to your smart phone, Tenley and Cristin walk you through how to get proper exposure, how to find the most flattering and versatile light, how to compose images and what gear can help you elevate your images.
Behind the Scenes
This course contains over 3 hours of footage of Tenley and Cristin photographing their children in all sorts of situations, from low light to harsh sun, messy houses to crowded gardens and more.
Engaging Kids
From whiny to disinterested to downright hostile, kids are not always into getting their picture taken. This course will teach you how to turn those frowns upside down and actually get your kids excited to take pictures.
Getting in the Frame
It can be hard to get in the frame, especially if you are always the one taking the pictures. Tenley and Cristin are passionate about making sure parents are in their memories with their kids and we show you multiple ways to make sure you are in your images, and that you look good doing it.
Editing
You will learn how to edit images, on mobile or on desktop, by correcting things like exposure and color, as well as removing distracting elements, fine-tuning colors in images and so much more. We have also included 6 presets to help make editing that much easier.
Bonus Features
In addition to photography, our course includes a tutorial for how to make videos on your phone from all of your favorite moments with your kids, as well as a few other fun extras.

Hey there! We are Tenley and Cristin.
We are professional photographers by trade, but we are also the moms of four crazy kids. We are masters at making magic out of chaos and creating beauty in the mess. We are passionate about documenting every detail of said crazy kiddo's childhood because these days are far too fleeting. We are also passionate about parents getting in the frame because we were there too and our kids will want to have us in those memories. Nothing would make us happier than to pass on everything we've learned so that you can start doing these things too and give your own kid's (and you!) that gift.
